Get to know Mercer Island

Mercer Island is a highly desirable community known for its great schools, beautiful parks and waterfront, and its friendly small-town vibe. Unique as the most populated island in a lake in the U.S., it is ideally positioned between Seattle and Bellevue. Hop on I-90 and you can be downtown in either city in 10 or 15 minutes.

Mercer Island is also home to a surprising variety of neighborhoods. We’ve created this neighborhood guide to give you an overview of the general geographic areas and neighborhoods of Mercer Island. The guide is made up of six primary pages: North End, South End, Town Center, Mid-Island, East Mercer, and West Mercer. Within these primary pages, you’ll find links to smaller neighborhoods, which you can also visit directly in the Neighborhood Quick Links section below or by clicking on the adjacent map.
